Orange Cake Ingredients

  • 3 eggs (180 g)
  • 200 grams of sugar

  • 1 large orange (50 g)

Preparation of the cake

  • First wash the orange and cut it into pieces, leaving the peel on. The sweeter the orange, the better the cake will taste.
  • Mash the orange and add eggs, sugar and sunflower oil. Mix them well until you get a homogeneous mixture.

  • 6 medium eggs (360 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (5 ml)
  • 7 tablespoons butter (150 g)
  • 500 grams of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (10 g)
  • 2 dl orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel (5 g)
  • 130 grams of cooking chocolate

Instructions for use

  • Melt the cooking chocolate and set it aside.
  • Whisk butter and sugar together in a bowl until you get a creamy consistency.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, stirring constantly.
  • Mix flour and baking powder, and add it to the egg mixture, alternating with orange juice.
  • Add orange and vanilla. Mix well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Set a cup of butter aside and mix with melted chocolate.
  • Grease and flour a cake pan and add both mixtures alternately, swirling them to achieve a marbled effect.
  • Bake for an hour at 175 ° C. The cake is ready when you can insert a toothpick through the middle and it comes out clean again.
